Winter Beauty Wishlist

1. Dior Creme de Rose // This product just seems so luxurious for a lip balm and would be perfect for the colder months. The "delicate rose scent" seems nice too.
2. Bobbi Brown Desert Twilight Eye Palette // The colors featured in this limited edition palette seem so wearable and pretty and a good mix of shimmery and matte shades.
3. Diptyque Feu de Bois Candle // The packaging alone for these candles are to die for. This particular "wood fire" scent caught my eye and seems like a perfect winter candle.
4.Caudalie Beauty Elixir // Spraying this mist before or after my makeup seems so refreshing for my dry skin this time of year. Supposedly it gives you "an instant burst of radiance." Sure, why not.
5. Mac Groundwork Paint Pot // I have the bare study paint pot and love it. This is more of a pretty brown don't-have-to-think-about-it color to put over your eyelids.
6. Nars Luster // I have been eyeing this shade for awhile but have yet taken the plunge and buy it. The shimmery, apricot color blush seems like it would do a nice job of warming up my pale winter skin.

Miss Miro

My Dad just sent me this picture of my cat Miro, who I had to leave back home. I know it was the best choice so she isn't living in a cramped apartment, but I just miss her so! She's so pretty. And cuddly. My roommate makes fun of my obsession with cats which I think is quite funny. Some people just don't understand!

Union Square Farmers Market

Going to the Union Square farmers market is such a nice fall time activity. Last week I got myself some apple cider to sip on and enjoyed looking at all booths. The leaves were falling in the park and there were pumpkins every where. Now that it's November the mood has shifted, Starbucks has brought out their red cups, and everyone prepares themselves for Christmastime. Can't say that I am complaining, I love this time of year, but I really enjoyed October too.

Feeling Nostalgic

Lately I've been feeling a little homesick for my home state of Arkansas. I think it's because of how much I like this time of year there-- it truly is gorgeous. Usually my family organizes some sort of fall hike and I have just been craving to go on one. Instead, I just looked through some old pictures of a trip we made a few years back. We stayed at a little motel called the "Lazy Apple" and I just loved that name. The first day we went hiking through an area known as the Pedestal Rocks trail. More pictures below

Silent World

Love these photographs by Paris-based photographers Lucie and Simon. Strange how eerie they seem with the absence of crowds of people and moving cars. These particular settings are always so busy and full of life, it's a new way to look at these famous city spots with a sense of calmness and stillness.

Nepal - Tilt Shift

This pictures were taken by me the summer after high school when I went on a month long trek in Nepal organized by my Asian Studies teacher. Unable to sleep last night, I started looking through old pictures and decided to turn a few of them into tilt-shift photographs using the handy website Pretty happy with how they turned out! The yak one not so much, but I just like that picture so just decided to include it.
